Rain pattered against the windows of the café, creating dappled patterns on the skin of its affluent, trendy customers. The café was snugly hidden away on a side street of the city, with a drab, unassuming façade but a bright and vibrant interior. Inside, abstract works of art adorned the walls, full of large brushtrokes, flowing colours, and no real subject matter. It's called schadenfreude. Look it up. It's German. Schadenfreude is the pleasure that you feel from watching other people suffer. "If it's childish to believe in this, so be it. I'd rather be considered a child than follow a doctrine of cynicism, chaosapathy. I thought I didn't care, Dad, that I didn't need to believe in things. But I was wrong." - Edward Elric
